Okay, so I wanted to share my little adventure with Azir in ARAM mode. I’ve been messing around with different builds and runes, and it’s been a wild ride, to say the least.
I started out by checking out what the pros were doing. You know, the usual Nashor’s Tooth, Sorcerer’s Shoes, and Liandry’s Torment combo. For runes, most people go for that standard magic damage setup.

But then I thought, “Why not try something different?”
I stumbled upon this on-hit Azir guide, which was a real eye-opener. The whole idea was to go for Guinsoo’s Rageblade and really focus on attack speed. It sounded crazy, but I was intrigued.
- First few games? Disaster. I was getting wrecked. I mean, Azir’s squishy as heck, and without the right setup, he just melts.
- But I kept at it. I started tweaking the runes, trying out different combinations. It was a lot of trial and error, let me tell you.
- Slowly but surely, I started seeing results. My attack speed was insane, and those soldiers were shredding through enemies like butter.
I learned that Azir is pretty versatile. You gotta adapt to your opponents. Some games, going full AP is the way to go. Other times, that on-hit build really shines.
Here’s the thing about on-hit Azir
It’s a bit of a gamble. You’re sacrificing some of that burst damage for sustained DPS. But when it works, it’s glorious. You become this unstoppable force, just mowing down anyone who gets too close. But I realized on-hit Azir is actually not good because the W damage was nerfed. So, on-hit currently only works on the main target, and the AoE damage is just sad. I think I lost like 3.75 to 15 damage.
I remember this one game where I was up against a team full of tanks. They thought they could just walk all over me. Boy, were they wrong. My soldiers were like little piranhas, chipping away at their health until they just dropped.

There are still some things I haven’t figured out. Like, how to deal with assassins. They’re the bane of my existence. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right? Figuring out how to overcome those challenges. Anyway, I know a lot of Azir players are struggling right now, and I know some of you are inspired by that one Azir main, LoveeeBlanc, right? Anyway, I just hope this helps some of you guys out.
So yeah, that’s my Azir ARAM story so far. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions, from frustration to pure elation. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It’s made me a better player, and I’m excited to see what other crazy builds I can come up with.
